SEO Informed Copywriting for Reiki Providers
Your Reiki Practice is Changing Lives. Your Website Should Be Able To Say That.
You know how to hold space, explain energy work, and guide someone through a release. Your website doesn’t know how to do any of that yet — and that gap is costing you clients.
The Visibility Problem
The Real Problem With Most Reiki Websites
Reiki practitioner websites often have a landing page that essentially says “I offer Reiki sessions” and expects the visitor to fill in the rest.
But most visitors can’t fill in the rest. They don’t know what Reiki is. They landed on your site because they typed “stress relief near me” or “holistic healing [city]” into Google. They’re curious and open to energy work, but they are also two seconds away from clicking away to something that makes more sense to them.
Your website has to educate before it can convert. And if Google can’t find it in the first place, none of that matters anyway
Standard copywriters can address one of these challenges. SEO-informed copywriting addresses both.
“That’s the double challenge facing Reiki practitioners: low public awareness of the modality — plus a visibility problem that keeps the right people from finding you at all.” ~ Alex Theordor, Stress Less Digital Marketing
Your Website as a Strategic Asset
What Your Website Can Actually Do for Your Practice
Your website isn’t just a digital business card; it should do far more than list your services and contact information.
🌱 Grow Your Audience and Network
Blog content targeting searches like “what is Reiki,” “Reiki for anxiety,” and “energy healing near me” brings new people into your world consistently — not just when you post on social media or ask for referrals. Your website works around the clock, so you don’t have to.
🤝 Foster Trust With Potential Clients
The average person needs to encounter a provider’s content 20+ times before they’re ready to book. With the right content, your website does the trust-building and objection-busting for you; long before someone hits “contact.”
📍 Build Local Visibility for In-Person Sessions
Local search terms like “Reiki near me,” “energy healer [city],” and “holistic wellness [neighborhood]” have real booking intent behind them. Showing up for those searches requires copy intentionally built for local SEO. Without it, practitioners within miles of ready clients stay invisible.
✨ Share Your Unique Brand and Perspective
Reiki is not generic, and neither is your approach to it. Your lived experience, your philosophy, your personal practice — all of that belongs in your copy. A website with real voice and real perspective converts significantly better than one that sounds like everyone else in the wellness space.
💌 Nourish Your Referral Network
If your practice runs primarily on word of mouth, your website is the tool that makes every referral land better. When a past client sends someone your way and that person visits your site and immediately thinks “yes, this is exactly what I was told it would be” — that conversion rate goes up. Your website is working for your referral partners even when you aren’t.
Why This Work Is Different
Why Reiki Copy Is Different From Other Health and Wellness Copy
Reiki is genuinely hard to explain. I know that because I’ve been on both sides of the table.
I am a Usui White Light Level One attuned Reiki practitioner, currently working towards Level Two, and I have been attuned by Lauren Kranich of Holistic Wellness. Each morning before I get out of bed and every night before I fall asleep, I practice self-Reiki. I also attend monthly Reiki shares to practice with other practitioners. Additionally, I have received private Reiki sessions during times of personal blockages and have benefited from distance Reiki during challenging periods in my life.
My science brain still sometimes wrestles with the woo-woo of it, as I crave the data and tangible proof of its effects on the body (though the Ceter for Reiki Research helps scratch this itch). With practice, I’ve learned to sit with the reality that some of the most meaningful things don’t come with a clinical trial. When I kiss my daughter’s scraped knee, there is no measurable mechanism for why that helps. But she stops crying.
Reiki works in a similar register — you are sending intention, care, and energy to the areas that need it. That’s meaningful in its own right.
Reiki copy that converts is clear, steady, and grounded—it addresses skepticism without dismissing it, and helps first-time clients feel safe stepping into something new. That kind of trust-building requires real understanding from lived experience, not surface-level research (or worse, an exclusive reliance on ChatGPT).
“Someone who has only read about Reiki can write about it technically. Someone who has received it, practiced giving it, and also spent years studying how people make decisions — that person can write about it in a way that actually moves people.”

MEET THE WOMAN BEHIND THE WORDS
I’m Alex Theordor, SEO Copywriter and Content Strategist
I help service providers become more visible and trusted by creating engaging, SEO-friendly website copy and long-form content that showcases their expertise and guides clients to say yes.
The Opportunity Inside the Obstacle
Being Hard to Explain Is a Copywriting Problem — Not a Positioning Problem
Most Reiki websites skip the education entirely and go straight to listing services, hoping someone will book. That is jumping to the action step without doing any of the prep work first. It is the equivalent of proposing marriage on a first coffee date. Technically possible. Almost never effective.
Effective copy follows the AIDA framework: Awareness, Interest, Desire, Action. Your visitor first needs to know what Reiki is and that it exists as a solution to what they are experiencing. Then they need to get curious about how it works. Then they need to want it specifically from you. The booking step only converts when the first three have done their job.
A visitor who lands on your site and sees nothing but a service menu and a booking link is not ready to act. They are still at Awareness. They need to be walked through the journey first.
That is exactly what a strategic content ecosystem does. Blog posts handle Awareness and Interest. Someone searching for “why do I feel so drained after stressful events” or “natural ways to support my nervous system” finds your post, gets genuine value, and learns that Reiki is a solution. They did not know they were looking for you. Your blog found them anyway.
By the time that same person clicks through to your service page, they are warm. Now your service page does the work of Desire and Action. It speaks directly to what they are already feeling, describes the experience in language that makes them feel safe, explains what shifts people typically notice, and gives them a clear, confident next step.
The blog attracts. The service page converts. Together they complete the journey from stranger to booked client — without you having to be present for any of it.
The Process
What Working Together Actually Looks Like
This is not a handoff situation where you fill out a form, I disappear, and you get a Google Doc two weeks later. I am a strategic partner throughout the entire process. You will always know what is happening, why it is happening, and what to expect next.
Before a single word of copy is written, we get clear on your message.
We start with a structured 60–90 minute Foundational Messaging Interview. You talk. I listen. Everything is recorded so I can pull your brand voice directly from how you speak, not how you think you should sound on paper.
My job at this stage is to take everything living in your head — your offers, your philosophy, the transformation you create, the words your best clients have used to describe working with you — and organize it into something usable. A brain dump becomes a business foundation.
You walk away with a polished Foundational Messaging Map delivered via Google Doc: your positioning statement, core messaging pillars, a language guide covering exactly what to say and what to avoid, and light keyword observations aligned with how your ideal clients are actually searching.
This document becomes the strategic backbone for every word of copy that follows. Nothing gets written without it.
With your Foundational Messaging Map as the guide, I write the website copy that turns your site from a digital brochure into a visibility asset that works around the clock.
For a Reiki practitioner, this typically means your Home page, About page, and your core Reiki service page. Each page has a job. Your Home page orients the visitor and earns their trust quickly. Your About page builds the human connection that makes someone choose you over anyone else. Your service page does the heaviest lifting.
Every page is written with SEO built in from the start, so the right people can actually find it. Keywords are woven naturally into headings, page copy, and metadata — nothing stuffed, nothing forced. Just strategic language that speaks to both your future client and Google simultaneously.
Your completed project is delivered in a Google Doc with clear implementation notes so you know exactly where each piece of copy goes and how to use it. Two rounds of revisions are included to make sure you are 100% in love with your website — though in my experience, most clients are ready to go after the first draft. The revisions are there if you need them. I am a strategic partner from start to finish, not a writer who disappears at delivery.
Once your website has strong copy, you need to know whether it is working.
We connect your Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console to a custom Looker Studio dashboard so you can see exactly where visitors are coming from, which pages are getting traction, and what is driving inquiries. No jargon, no guessing — just clear data that tells a story you can actually act on.
During our time together, you receive a plain-language monthly summary of your data with insights on what is working, what to watch, and where opportunity is building. This is how word-of-mouth practices discover they are quietly ranking for “Reiki near me” in their city. This is also how they spot the gaps before they become problems.
Each month, I write SEO-optimized blog content targeting the keywords your future clients are already searching. Some posts capture cold traffic — people who have never heard of Reiki and are searching for stress relief, better sleep, or holistic support in your city. Other posts move warm leads through the funnel, answering the objections they’re still sitting with: What does a session feel like? Is Reiki right for me if I’m skeptical? How many sessions does someone typically need?
Each blog post is then repurposed. You receive a supporting email newsletter ready to send to your list, plus social media captions pulled directly from the blog — so one piece of content becomes three touchpoints. Everything is delivered in Google Docs with clear implementation notes. You know what to post, when to post it, and why it matters.
No guesswork. No surprises.

Everything Connected
What This Looks Like as a Complete Ecosystem
Nothing is built in isolation. Every piece connects. The messaging map feeds the website copy.
- The website copy gives the blog posts somewhere to link back to.
- The blog posts educate cold traffic and nurture warm leads.
- The newsletters and social captions extend the reach of every post.
- The analytics dashboard shows you what is working so we can keep building in the right direction.
You are not hiring someone to write you a website and wave goodbye. You are building a visibility system with a strategic partner who understands your modality, knows how to translate it for the people searching for it, and makes sure every word sounds like you.

Vibe Check
This Is for You If…
✅ You are an established Reiki practitioner with a growing practice who is ready to stop depending entirely on word of mouth and start building a visibility asset that works for you between sessions.
✅ You have been told your website needs work, but don’t know where to start or don’t have the time to do it yourself.
✅ You want copy that actually explains what you do — to people who have never heard of it — without losing the depth and intention behind the practice.
✅ You are building an in-person practice in a specific city or region and want to show up locally for the people already searching for what you offer.
This Is Not for You If…
❌ You want a quick fix. SEO compounds over time. The practitioners who benefit most are the ones who understand that this is a long-game investment and are ready to commit to it.
For Word-of-Mouth Practices
A Note on Word-of-Mouth Practices
If your practice has been built primarily through referrals and personal relationships, your website is not competing with that. It is supporting it.
Every time someone refers a new client to you, that person is going to look you up before they reach out. What they find either confirms the referral or creates hesitation. A website with clear, warm, educational copy turns a referral from a warm lead into a booking. A website that is thin on information makes someone pause — and pausing in this context often means not following through.
“Your referral partners deserve a website they can send people to with confidence. And your new visitors deserve to land somewhere that immediately feels like the right fit.” ~Alex Theordor

Your website should be working while you give sessions. Instead you’re chasing referrals, posting for likes, and hoping the right person finds you. It is time to change that, today.
