COPYWRITING CASE STUDY

From Scattered To Seen: Giving A Private Practice The Words It Deserves

How stratigic copywriting and a full analytics foundation helped Phefferle Counseling LLC show up with clarity, confidence, and a website build to grow.

Work With Me

Client: Eileen Pfefferle, LCSW

Business: Pfefferle Counseling LLC

Industry: Private Practice Therapy

Project: Website Copy & SEO Integration

The Situation

A skilled therapist with a website that didn’t reflect her.

Eileen Pfefferle is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker running a private counseling practice in Colorado. She is exactly the kind of therapist clients search for but can’t always find: warm, deeply skilled, and genuinely invested in transformative outcomes.

The problem? Her online presence didn’t communicate any of that. Like so many therapists in private practice, Eileen was juggling the demands of running a business alongside the emotional weight of clinical work, building a coaching buiness and being a mother. Finding the words to market herself was not just hard β€” it felt like a different language altogether.

She came to this project needing more than a website refresh. She needed a strategic partner who could listen deeply, extract what made her practice distinct, and translate all of it into copy that could actually connect with the right clients.

The Challenge

Why therapist websites so often fall flat

Most therapist websites say the same things: β€œI provide a safe space.” β€œI use evidence-based approaches.” β€œI am here to help.” These phrases are well-intentioned but invisible online. They do not differentiate you from the thousands of other therapists in your area, rank on Google, and (most importantly) they do not convert a hesitant visitor into a client who books.

This marketing gap stems from a lack of infrastructure: no messaging foundation, no SEO strategy, and no way to measure what is actually working. Eileen needed all three built from the ground up, and they needed to work together.

“I love how skillfully and deeply you listen with a super strategic approach to transform that listening into exciting action.”

The Process

Strategy first. Always.

Good copy does not start with writing. It starts with listening. Here is how this project unfolded from the first conversation to the final deliverable.

01

Deep Discovery

Before a single word was written, we spent time in intentional conversation. Who is Eileen’s ideal client? What do they feel before they reach out? What transformation do they experience? This listening phase shapes everything that follows.

02

Foundational Messaging

A messaging document was built first: brand voice, positioning, key differentiators, and the emotional through-line that ties every page together. This is the backbone that keeps copy consistent across all channels.

03

SEO Keyword Research

Research focused on how real people search for therapy in Eileen’s area and specialty. Keywords were woven naturally into copy so it reads for humans and ranks for search engines, without ever feeling robotic.

04

Page Copywriting

Four pages of strategic copy: home, about, and two service pages. Each page has a clear job to do β€” build trust, describe her process, address pain points, and guide the right visitor to book.

05

Analytics Infrastructure

This is where most copywriters stop. We did not. Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and Looker Studio were set up and connected. UTM codes were added to track exactly where traffic and conversions come from. Eileen now has a real-time window into what her website is doing.

06

Guided Handoff

Step-by-step guides were included so Eileen can confidently manage her own site and data moving forward. The goal was to leave Eileen fully equipped to manage her own site and data with confidence.

No guesswork. No surprises.

Why This Matters

The infrastructure most therapists never build

A beautiful website with no analytics is like a therapy practice with no onboarding process. You might be doing meaningful work, but you have no way to know who is finding you, what is resonating, or where potential clients are falling through the cracks.

By building the analytics foundation alongside the copy, Eileen’s website is live, learning, and working around the clock. As traffic grows, she will know which pages are performing, which keywords are driving visits, and which sources are sending her the best leads. That data becomes the foundation for every future decision so she can focus her marketing effors on the referral sources that matter most.

For therapists building or scaling a private practice, this is the difference between hoping your website works and knowing it does.

In Eileen’s Words

Supportive, strategic, excellent.

Is This You?

Built for therapists who are ready to be found

This project was designed for a therapist who knew her work was good but needed the words and the infrastructure to let the right clients find her. If that sounds familiar, you are in the right place.

Whether you are launching a new private practice, rebranding after years in the field, or simply tired of a website that does not do justice to the transformation you offer, strategic copy and a proper analytics foundation can change that.

You do not need to figure out what to say or how the internet works. That is what this work is for.
